A Magical Day at Magic Kingdom

I finally made it to the Cinderella Castle!
I finally made it to the Cinderella Castle!

Up early today as we’re excited to be going to the Magical Kingdom finally! Up at 6:30 and our lunches are packed and we grab the essentials for a day in Orlando and a trip to WDW: sunblock, check, snacks and goodies, check, magicbands, check, selfie-stick, check! Yesterday everyone had these selfie-sticks and so we picked one up for 10 bucks and now can do our photos without asking someone to take a cheesey picture!

We had a fastpass for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train  so we took our time on Mainstreet USA and went through Cinderella Castle. The Mainstreet USA is really built so you feel you are like in some Mark Twain story and reading about the forced perspective used when they build the park is very interesting to now see it!

There are so many atmospheres around the Kingdom as we walk through the site you can feel like you are visiting so many different countries!

First we went to the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train on our fastpass and it was great! Then we went to see Winnie the Pooh and DD was wearing her Pooh shirt with the magic cupcake! I played with the kerrits in the garden and then we went to enchanted tales with bell and the magic mirror!

Another busy day on the People Mover in Tomorrowland and did the Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin which wasn’t as good as Toy Story but was still cool.  Then we went to Carousel of Progress with Rover and the Passage of Decades then to Stitches Great Escape where we were trapped in this giant round room while Stitch and the robots tried to conquer whatever it was I forget my head was starting to be overloaded!

We had lunch by the racetrack then went to Tom Sawyers Island and got lost a bit in the underground tunnels and then went back on the raft to watch the logs rolling down Splash Mountain and it made us want to go or me anyway!

It's awesome to ride the monorail or take the train around the site ebacuse you get such a great view and here is the Space Mountain and I didn't do the ride yet so will have to next time!

After the lunch we went on The Swiss Family Robinson tree which was a super cool tree house just like a deserted family might build with all sorts of water powered contraptions and comforts built out of materials that would make put any Survivor White, Blue or No Collar team to shame!

After we went on the Jungle Cruise which was the best! You are in this boat cruising down the Amazon past all sorts of creatures and plants and waterfalls and it is such good fun! The tour guide was really funny with lots of jokes about the passing scenes! The hippos and elephants and creatures all looked very realistic and it was really an immersive experience and lots of fun!

The Jungle Cruise was one of my favorites today I already want to do it again! The elephants playing near the waterfall was so sweet!

Back to Semba 13 for the car home and we stopped in Celebration to mail postcards around the world and it was funny because they gave us Christmas stamps for the postcards with manatees on them! Celebration was a nice town outside of Kissimmee and we saw a nice white dog there sitting pretty!

Swordfish and avocado for supper and then take off the magic bands and get to bed after another busy day at the Magical Kingdom!
