Re: the comment about "tough streets" in Newport. Don't be afraid. You're fine. Newport is a working town and grew up around the rail road tradition. It has seen some difficult economic times, but appearances can be deceptive. There is a wonderful little B&B just one street over from the downtown, and actually, some incredibly lovely neighborhoods close by. The politics in Newport are a little conservative, and they don't always sink the $$ in the downtown that some might. You're good. I highly recommend La Belvidere Restaurant on the downtown side of the Lake, the Mempremagog Arts Collective, and the charming cafe in the health food store. Salt of the earth area. Enjoy.

Hi there,

Great post and blog. Looks like it was a wonderful day. We've certainly had a lot of mild weather this year which makes for ideal conditions to getting outside. I work with Nova Scotia Tourism and I shared this with our Facebook and Twitter friends.

I don't mean colors. I mean..... well I've seen siamese cats that are extremely skinney with pointy faces and very short hair and other siamese cats with longer hair and not so skinney. Are they not both siamese or are the longer haired ones maybe mixed?
My friend's cat had kittens and the father is siamese. I haven't seen the kittens yet but was confused by the difference in pics I found when I did a search. She's sending me some pictures. I hope they are the "apple heads". I prefer the look of them.

Hurricane Irene!!

Thanks for the post DD! I was in Quebec in the Eastern Townships during the strom and it was quite a downpour! There were some bridges and roads washed out in Quebec and Ontario but it looks like Vermont and New York had some major damage!

Stay safe!

PS: Glad to hear you are prepared!!!! You're a smart cookie!!

I'm so glad that you enjoyed our beautiful bike path and the people who live along it! I just want to warn anyone using the bike path that if you're caught short and REALLY have to go to the loo, to be very careful, because there are patches of poison ivy along the right hand side of the path as you head towards Canada!! I know first hand...!

Wow really that's what you got from this movie. I think you need to watch it again you seem to have put somethings together wrong. The army isn't a part of any military there all mercenaries. The tree they live in isn't where all there ancestors memory's are stored. It's just there home. The memory's are in several places on the planet not just one and the whole fight at the end takes up less the 20 min of a 2+ hour movie. There is only one other short fight and its less then 10 min. What the hell did you see.

No, explosions and killings aren't always the answer. It depends on what the question is.

Melvin Jones
