Fire Rock on the Lanai164 viewsAhhh! There's nothing like having a cold beer on a lanai in Hawaii! After a hectic morning trying to find a room, we were sitting down, comfortably, enjoying a beer on the lanai. It was nice to hear the calming waves and the birds and to feel the wamth of the sun. DD

November 2010 Rainstorm Sump Pit Filling10 viewsDuring the most of the rainfall, the water from from the backyard was emptying into our clogged sump pit. Had to call a plumber in emergency when our pond pump didn't empty the pit fast enough. The level was dangerously rising. He got here just in time. While he was trying to unclog the pipe, another woman called on his pager; she needed a sump pump too. I sincerely hope she found another plumber to help her. Streets were flooded in areas of Dieppe, Moncton and Riverview. What a crazy day that was!
