Today is a big day as we’re off to go see the premiere of the new #D SpongeBob Movie at Downtown Disney! We got dressed up in our finest white slacks and colored shirts to be real Florida tourists and headed down for our early showing of the movie. It was nice to visit Downtown Disney, it’s more like a commercial shopping mall outdoors but it has a nice lake to watch the boats and there was music playing so we were happy!

The movie was pretty funny, we had a good time. I had my usual treat of Twizzlers and popcorn and a diet Pepsi for the low price of $18! LOL! It was fun though to see our happy buddy Spongeybob and his friends on their adventures…but we decided that we were just as happy to watch the TV episodes because the movie kind of took the same theme of plankton trying to steal the crabby patty secret formula and used the same theme so it got a bit long but still, gotta love Spongey!!
After the movie we went for a game of mini putt and lunch at the Disney resort area. The lunch was nice by the pond with the fountain and watching people play mini golf with the nice music drifting through the palm trees. The mini golf is very popular and there is a waiting list so you sign in and then sit out at the tables near the pond and wait so we had a seat and looked at our pictures and watched the sights.

The mini golf was super! There are two courses and we did the more challenging one. This is the best mini-putt I’ve played with real tough holes. The course is undulating and has nice landscaping and each hole is really a putting challenge. It took almost 90 minutes to complete the 18 holes. We both made some pretty good shots!
After the golf we had our sandwiches and lunch and then drove out to the Disney Nature Park outside of Kissimmee. It was a nice looping trail but we were arriving late and it closes at 5 so we just did a short walk of about 30 minutes through the scrub to a pond.

The walk was nice, so quiet after all the hustle and bustle of downtown Disney so it was a chance to watch the birds and listen to the crickets in the hot sun. At the edge of the lake there were nice mossy trees and we saw some baby alligators peeking at us from the water.

We watched them for about 10 minutes then made our way back along the trail, we want to do the whole loop next time, it was a nice walk and there is an information/interpretation center at the start of the trail.
Another great day in Florida!
